In the villa renovation project I carried out in Zekeriyaköy, I was responsible for managing the entire process from design to implementation. The main goal of the project was to transform the existing structure into a functional and aesthetically refined living space that meets modern lifestyle needs.

My design approach drew inspiration from the natural surroundings and the serene atmosphere of the area. I adopted a modern-minimal aesthetic, emphasizing natural light, warm material selections, and a balanced spatial composition. For the interior layout, I developed smart solutions and custom details that enhance functionality while addressing user habits and daily routines.

Throughout the project, I personally oversaw every stage, including concept development, technical drawings, material and product selections, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and on-site construction supervision. I resolved technical challenges promptly, ensuring the project progressed in line with quality standards and the established timeline.

This renovation stands as a comprehensive project that reflects my holistic architectural approach and strengthened my leadership skills across both design and implementation phases.

The kitchen was partially separated with subtle spatial dividers, yet it was kept visually and socially connected to the living area through the seating arrangement around the island, ensuring a balanced sense of privacy and integration.

Storage solutions, layout, and material selections were planned to balance personal comfort with guest accommodation, creating a multifunctional space that adapts seamlessly to both scenarios.

All cabinetry and interior layouts were designed specifically for their wardrobe, including clothing, accessories, shoes, and bags, as well as dedicated sections that support their daily routines and hobbies, creating a truly personalized space.

Integrated lighting within the wardrobes, combined with the room’s overall illumination, was specifically tailored to evoke a high-end retail experience upon entry—an explicit request from the homeowners that guided the entire lighting strategy.

Despite the limited space, a custom cabinet was integrated to discreetly house the washing machine and dryer, ensuring practicality while maintaining the minimal and uncluttered character of the room.

The door designs were carefully considered to visually elevate the relatively low ceiling height, enhancing the sense of verticality while preserving the clean and understated character of the entry.

The room incorporates the homeowners’ personal artwork as key visual elements, while the addition of skylights enhances the sense of height and provides abundant natural light, enriching the overall spatial experience.

A skylight was incorporated to bring in natural light and enable passive ventilation, enhancing the room’s sense of openness while supporting a serene, spa-like experience.

This space provides flexibility with a dual-shower arrangement and a separate bathtub, while the use of teak flooring ensures a non-slip surface and maintains the natural design language of the bathroom.
